Lake Stevens board adopts 2024–25 budget, approves funds, fees and multiple project acceptances

President Taylor thanked the budget team for clear communication and an efficient use of resources, calling the presentation a “robust demonstration on a budget well done” and praising staff dedication. The board recessed into a 40-minute executive session on litigation and bargaining at 7:40 p.m. and reconvened at 8:20 p.m.; no action resulted from the executive session.
What’s next: The adopted budget and fee schedule take effect for the 2024–25 fiscal year under the district’s usual implementation processes; procurement steps such as solicitation for interactive-display bids will follow staff contracting procedures.
