Marion County commissioners approve consent agenda including $954,276 insurance payments and $408,472 POS contract

SALEM, Ore. — Marion County commissioners approved a consent agenda on March 18 that included several county contracts, grant actions and tax-account adjustments.
The board approved payment of invoices totaling $954,276.07 to Brown and Brown Insurance Services, Inc. for county insurance renewals covering excess general liability, excess workers’ compensation, and various medical malpractice coverages. The board also approved a Teller Software as a Service agreement with Can/Am Technologies for $408,472 to provide Teller point-of-sale system support through March 31, 2029.
Public Works items approved on the consent agenda included receipt of the hearings officer’s decision for Zone Change/Partition Case #25-005 (Roger and Jenny Pena), and a resolution authorizing Marion County Parks staff to submit a grant application under the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department Local Government Grant Program for wildfire restoration at Bear Creek Park and Campground. The board also approved Amendment #1 to the Contract for Services with Garten Services, Inc., adding $60,000 for a not-to-exceed total of $160,000 and extending the term to June 30, 2027, for transportation and sorting of batteries collected at county environmental services sites.
The tax office item approved an order cancelling three uncollectible personal property tax accounts totaling $30,411.61 (Tax IDs 352227 — Limitless Lifestyles, LLC; 133251 — Kurt and Elizabeth Ream; and 126702 — Janice E. Jacobsen).
Commissioner Kevin Cameron moved to approve the consent agenda; Commissioner Danielle Bethell seconded the motion and it carried. No separate roll-call votes for individual consent items are recorded in the meeting minutes.
