Pennsauken school board meets in closed session for acting superintendent evaluation

The Pennsauken Township Board of Education met June 11, 2025, at the Board of Education Administration Building and moved into a closed executive session to conduct an evaluation of the district's acting superintendent, the board said.

The board opened the public comment period after calling the meeting to order and reading the legal notice. Ms. Johnson moved to open public comment, seconded by Mrs. Hutton; the motion carried. The transcript records that no members of the public spoke during the allotted comment period.

The board then read and adopted a resolution invoking New Jersey's Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12, to permit a closed session for personnel matters. The board reconvened the public meeting at 7:08 p.m. after the executive session. Ms. Johnson moved to reopen the public portion, seconded by Mrs. Hutton; that motion carried. The meeting concluded with a motion by Mrs. Hutton, seconded by Ms. Eckel, to adjourn at 7:09 p.m.

The board's resolution states that matters discussed in executive session that need not remain confidential will be made public when appropriate.
