Property Committee approves $20,000 contingency transfer to replace museum rooftop unit

Supervisor John Nelson moved the transfer and Supervisor Stephanie Arndt seconded; the motion passed unanimously, 3-0. Jon Kuhlow, chairperson, presided over the meeting, which began at 5:00 PM and adjourned at 5:55 PM in the Aging and Disability Resource Center in Sheboygan Falls.
Kevin Dulmes, director of Building Services, told the committee that bids have been received to replace the museum rooftop unit after the existing unit failed and that the requested $20,000 transfer would cover the replacement. Dulmes also reported that bids were received to replace the dishwasher at the Law Enforcement Center and said that replacement of that dishwasher had been approved through the capital project process.
The committee opened its meeting with routine business: a motion by Supervisor Nelson, seconded by Supervisor Arndt, to approve the minutes of the Feb. 24, 2026 meeting; that motion carried 3-0. The committee similarly approved vouchers as presented by the same 3-0 vote.
Dulmes provided an overview of requests for proposals submitted for the University of Wisconsin Green Bay Sheboygan campus and the committee discussed how it would evaluate and accept or reject proposals. Dulmes also updated the committee on projected Health and Human Services staff growth and said the current building could support staffing increases through 2027. He reported that he had provided a tour of the new Household Hazardous Waste facility for committee members.
The committee set its next meeting for Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM in Room 302 of the Sheboygan County Administration Building. Supervisor Stephanie Arndt moved to adjourn, Supervisor John Nelson seconded, and the meeting ended at 5:55 PM.
