After the presentation, Chair Dick Koeppen placed the proposed 2022 budget on file in the County Clerk’s Office for public review.
Dombrowski outlined that the materials include a summary of operating, special purpose and debt service budgets and indicated that the county’s near‑term fiscal outlook was part of the presentation. The board scheduled a public hearing on the proposed budget for Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., at which time residents may comment on the proposal.
The board’s subsequent actions at the Oct. 26 meeting—most notably a 2% wage/salary increase for eligible employees effective Jan. 1, 2022 and several staffing adjustments—will be reflected in the final budget deliberations. The full proposed budget was placed on file in the County Clerk’s Office for public inspection.
