At the Dec. 21, 2021 Waupaca County Board meeting, Public Health Officer Jed Wohlt gave an update on COVID-19 case counts, vaccination rates, trends and the Omicron variant. Melissa Kraemer Badtke provided an update on the East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's activities in the county. Medical Examiner Cathi Wegener reviewed staffing, laboratory use, death reporting and cremation-permit processes.
County Clerk Jill Lodewegen outlined staff responsibilities, redistricting work, upcoming office upgrades and announced her resignation effective Feb. 25, 2022. The board approved reappointments of Diane Forsythe and Mike Hankins to the OWLS board for three-year terms (motions carried 26-0). Chair Koeppen invited Supervisor Dave Neumann to extend thanks to county employees. The meeting adjourned at 11:07 a.m.
