Fulton County approves BFJRA charter amendments and appoints Craig Cutchall to authority board

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners approved two resolutions on Dec. 30, 2025 that amend the articles of incorporation for the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreational Authority (BFJRA).
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve Resolution 9 of 2025, which adopts an amendment to increase the number of BFJRA board members. Commissioner Wible also moved to approve Resolution 10 of 2025, authorizing the authority to appoint police officers who will have the same rights as other Commonwealth police officers with respect to authority property. Both resolutions were approved with all commissioners voting in favor.
Following the resolutions, Commissioner Wible moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term set to expire Jan. 3, 2027. County representatives at the meeting included Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod of the BFJRA, who attended the discussion.
The resolutions change BFJRA's corporate governance and add authority for appointment of officers; the board took formal action and the appointee's term was recorded in the meeting minutes.
