Waupaca County approves three zoning amendments for Royalton, Little Wolf and Matteson towns

The Waupaca County Board on Feb. 16 approved three zoning map amendments recommended by the Planning & Zoning Committee following public hearings and town approvals.
Petition Z‑002‑21 (Bear Lake Campground Inc.) in the Town of Royalton was granted to change approximately 25.63 acres from Public Recreation and Forestry (PURF) to Agriculture and Woodland Transition (AWT) along State Road 22 (Fire Number N4715). The committee said the Town of Royalton approved the request and found it consistent with the town’s comprehensive plan.
Petition Z‑003‑21 (Micky J. and Kasandra L. Pagel) in the Town of Little Wolf was granted to change roughly 10 acres from Agriculture Enterprise (AE) to AWT for a boundary‑line adjustment; the Town of Little Wolf and the committee found the change consistent with the town comprehensive plan.
Petition Z‑004‑21 (Michael J. Scheid) in the Town of Matteson was granted to change about 2 acres from Agriculture Retention (AR) to AWT for a boundary‑line adjustment; the Town of Matteson supported the petition and the committee recommended approval.
Each ordinance will be effective in the respective town upon filing a certified copy of the town board resolution approving the amendment or after the statutory waiting period if no disapproval is filed. County Clerk Jill Lodewegen certified enactment of the amendments.
