Commission approves board appointments, estate probates and county expenditures

The Pendleton County Commission on April 20 approved multiple appointments to local boards, confirmed estate administrators and ordered county payments.
On motion of Commissioner Carole Hartman and by unanimous vote, the commission appointed Bill Hartman to fill a term on the Pendleton County Economic Development Authority through Dec. 31, 2021; George Armstrong to a five-year term on the Pendleton County Library beginning July 1, 2021; and reappointed Johnny Hevener to the Public Service District for a six-year term beginning July 1, 2021. The Sheriff’s monthly financial statement for March 2021 was reviewed.
The commission, on motion of Carl Hevener, confirmed probate actions and appointments filed by the clerk, including Shari Moyers as administratrix of the estate of Thomas William Riggle (bond $500 with State Farm Insurance), Linda McKeefer as administratrix of the estate of Everett Lewis Kline (bond $600,000, no surety required – sole heir), and the probate of the will of Arvella M. Pitsenbarger with Dennis Lambert appointed executor. Settlements and a report of receipts and disbursements for the estate of Robert Evan Spencer Jr. were presented for recording.
An exoneration for David A. Dyer in the amount of $19.72 was approved. The commission ordered allowances payable from multiple county funds: General County Fund checks 32010–32041 for $58,964.13; Coal Severance Fund checks 200099–200100 for $634.31; 911 Fund checks 3525–3529 for $658.30; Home Confinement Fund check 255 for $252.00; Pendleton County Community Building check 1175 for $383.72; and Special Law Enforcement Fund check 110 for $1,000.00.
On motion of Carl Hevener (unanimous) the commission adjourned until May 4, 2021.
