Fulton County commissioners approve festival lease, CDBG engineering contract and several purchases

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners at its Feb. 17 meeting unanimously approved a series of administrative actions including a park lease for a summer festival, a CDBG engineering contract, departmental purchases and invoices. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve a McConnell Park lease submitted by the Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for the Strawberry Festival scheduled for June 11–13, 2026; the motion carried "All in favor."
The board approved a contract with CES Engineering, LLC for engineering services on the Warfordsburg Senior Center CDBG project not to exceed $15,000, with Commissioner Hann making the motion. The board also retroactively approved Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives to sign a CDBG Exempt Status Determination and Mitigation Measures and Conditions Form (motion by Commissioner Randy H. Bunch).
Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress requested new office furniture to be purchased from W.B. Mason and funded by the Title IV‑D Incentive Account; the board approved the $6,467.15 purchase on a motion by Commissioner Bunch. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve an invoice from Wessel & Company for CFO services for January 2026 in the amount of $4,340.00; the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, Commissioner Wible moved to table a contract between Pressley Ridge and Fulton County for services for children until more information is gathered; that motion was recorded as unanimous. The minutes record two executive sessions: personnel matters (entered 8:33 a.m., exited 8:59 a.m.) and legal matters (entered 9:22 a.m., exited 10:21 a.m.). The meeting adjourned at 11:22 a.m.
