Nance County Board unanimously approves claims, fee reports and resolution on penny shortages

The Nance County Board of Supervisors met March 10, 2026, in the Supervisor’s Room at the Nance County Courthouse in Fullerton and unanimously approved a slate of routine financial items and a new county resolution.
Chairman Timothy C. Cornwell advised those present of the Open Meetings Act and noted the notice had been published in the Nance County Journal on March 4. The board approved the meeting agenda (moved by Supervisor Andrew Ditter, seconded by Supervisor Scott Russell) and the minutes of its Feb. 24 meeting (moved by Supervisor Robert Voichoskie, seconded by Supervisor Steve Crouse).
The board approved salary claims totaling $65,407.84 for the General Fund and $41,598.92 for the Road Fund. It also reviewed and accepted monthly fee reports: County Clerk $2,474.43; Clerk of the District Court $3,425.00; and County Sheriff $461.09.
The board adopted Resolution #26-4, described in the minutes as setting county procedures to address penny shortages, cash payments and postmark concerns brought to the county's attention by the Department of Revenue. County officials said the full text of Resolution #26-4 is available for review in the County Clerk’s office during normal business hours.
Supervisor Ralph Horacek moved to adjourn later in the meeting; Supervisor Steve Crouse seconded. The roll-call vote recorded AYES—Timothy Cornwell, Robert Voichoskie, Ralph Horacek, Steve Crouse, Scott Russell, Darren Nelson and Andrew Ditter; NAYS—none. The meeting then adjourned.
