Jones County approves ARPA-funded road equipment, sheriff IT upgrades and several state grant allocations

At its Feb. 2 called meeting, the Jones County Commissioners Court approved a set of equipment purchases, IT changes and state-funded allocations affecting road maintenance, law enforcement and county offices.
Commissioner Roy Spalding moved and Commissioner Lonnie Vivian seconded approval of a $37,500 packer attachment from John Deere Yellowhouse for Precinct 4 to be paid with ARPA funds; the court voted aye.
