County renews two retail alcohol licenses despite compliance check violations

Blaine Corlett, vice president of retail operations for CC&F Retail Inc., spoke about steps taken following a compliance check violation at Friendly’s Fuel Stop in Baltic. Dan Winklepleck, owner of 38 Roadhouse, similarly described measures his establishment took after its compliance violation. In both cases the commission voted to renew the 2020–2021 licenses. Motions to approve the renewals carried 5–0.
The transcript records that both applicants acknowledged a prior compliance check violation in the licensing year and outlined internal steps and policies intended to avoid future violations. The commission did not attach additional conditions to the renewals during the meeting.
