Fulton County signs Sub-Agreement to administer state food purchase funds for local Food Basket

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners voted Feb. 10 to approve and execute a Sub-Agreement naming the county as administrator of the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP), the board recorded.
Fiscal Administrator Sue Reed explained that state SFPP funds are now sent directly to Fulton County rather than being routed through the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc.; Food Basket Director Sue Cubbage joined the discussion. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve and execute the Sub-Agreement between the County of Fulton and the Fulton County Food Basket, Inc. The motion carried with all commissioners present voting in favor.
Commissioners also approved several routine administrative items during the same meeting: a travel request for Services for Children Director Christine McQuade to attend the Chief Justice Max Baer's Children's Roundtable Summit April 22–24, 2026 in Hershey, Pennsylvania; a Citgo tire quote for $640 to replace four tires on a Services for Children vehicle to meet inspection requirements; and a Certification Statement for the fourth quarter of 2025 submitted by Services for Children Fiscal Technician Stephanie Mellott. Each of those items was approved by recorded motion and ‘‘All in favor’’ noted in the transcript.
The Sub-Agreement was presented as an administrative step required because of the change in how state SFPP funds are routed; the meeting transcript records approval but does not specify timelines for implementation or reporting requirements beyond the execution of the Sub-Agreement.
