Board approves consent, financial items, land purchase terms and personnel recommendations

The Mustang Public Schools Board approved routine consent items, financial consent items and multiple personnel recommendations during its March 30 meeting, and approved amended terms for a land purchase after an executive session in which no action was taken.

The board approved consent agenda items G1 through G4 by voice vote; the chair announced the motion by Mr. Helling and second by Mr. Thompson and stated the motion passed. The board then approved financial consent agenda items H1 through H8 by voice vote with a second by Mr. Helling.

Later in the meeting the board moved into executive session at 6:38 p.m. and, upon returning, stated that only agenda items authorized by state law had been discussed and that no action was taken during the closed session. The board then considered Item N and voted to approve amended terms for a land purchase; the motion passed by voice vote, but the specific amended-term details were not read into the public record at the time of the vote.

The board also voted to approve the superintendent’s employment recommendations listed on Schedules A (Item O), B (Item P) and C (Item Q). Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote as recorded in the meeting transcript; the transcript does not record individual roll-call tallies for these voice votes.
