Wasek told the board the work includes additional demolition where existing walls were CMU or poured concrete rather than stud framing; asbestos flooring abatement in several areas; door frame and hardware modifications to match existing doors; and ceiling coordination that produced a credit because more of the ceiling could be retained.
She said the project also adds and removes floor boxes (to improve new‑floor installation and to support computer-table power), revised the routing path for an electrical panel feed where concrete beams conflicted with the original route, and switched the hearing‑loop design to an underfloor system for more consistent coverage in the masonry room. “We had to add a couple of floor boxes for the computer tables based on coordination with the furniture supplier,” Wasek said.
The change that followed the hearing‑loop decision required leveling and a skim coat to prevent the hearing loop from telegraphing through the LVT flooring; Wasek said flooring and AV suppliers recommended that approach. She also described mold‑related framing adjustments and a handful of plumbing and fixture clarifications.
There were no further board questions before the chair called for a vote. The board approved the package of change orders unanimously. The chair noted the item number for the record as 25-1434.
