Cusseta–Chattahoochee Commission approves appointments, grants and routine agreements

At its Aug. 5 meeting the Cusseta–Chattahoochee County Commission approved a package of routine appointments, agreements and grant applications that commissioners said would advance public services and youth programming.
Actions approved by unanimous vote included the appointment of Alison Wigand to the Chattahoochee County Board of Health (term through Dec. 31, 2027), renewal of the county’s annual 4‑H agreement, approval to submit a SEID/trail grant application to pursue trail funding, and the reappointment of April Hughes to the New Horizons Behavioral Health Board for a three‑year term.
Commissioners also took a first reading on a FLOST resolution and advanced a cemetery ordinance through the county’s 90‑day ordinance process; the cemetery ordinance will have a second reading at a work session before a vote. County officials thanked volunteers and agency partners for stepping forward for board service.
