Chattahoochee County commission approves appointments, grant pursuit and vehicle purchase; enters executive session

The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County met Nov. 4, 2025 and recorded a series of unanimous approvals on routine and substantive items.
The board unanimously appointed Teresa Williams to the Cusseta‑Chattahoochee County Library Board of Trustees to complete a term ending Dec. 31, 2026; the appointment was memorialized in a resolution adopted at the meeting. Commissioner Jason Frost moved the appointment; Commissioner Timothy Biddle seconded.
The commission also voted unanimously to approve pursuit of an economic development sewer grant; Commissioner Damon Hoyte moved the motion and Commissioner Jason Frost seconded. The board approved a procurement to buy a Ford Maverick for Public Works/Water; packet materials include a vendor quote from Brannen Motor Company listing a government price of $29,505. Commissioner Timothy Biddle moved and Commissioner Gerald Douglas seconded that vehicle purchase approval.
Several sets of prior minutes were approved by unanimous votes, including the Oct. 7 regular meeting and executive session minutes and Oct. 8 public hearing and called meeting minutes.
The board entered executive session at 9:22 a.m. for matters permitted by state law and reconvened at 9:50 a.m.; Chairman Charles Coffey stated that the closed session covered legal and land issues and that no votes were taken during the closed meeting. The regular meeting adjourned at 9:54 a.m. and the minutes were certified as approved at the Dec. 2, 2025 meeting.
