Commissioners said neighboring Piute County had reached out to offer mutual aid in recognition of assistance Sevier County provided during Piute’s recent fire.
The update was presented as routine commission business; no formal action or vote was taken on fire response at the meeting. County staff and elected officials said firefighters were actively protecting threatened structures and the Commission continued to monitor developments.
The meeting began at 1:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers. The Commission adjourned at 2:53 p.m.
