Sevier County Commissioners on May 27 accepted a dividend payment from WCF Mutual Insurance, declared county personal property surplus and authorized its disposal, approved routine minutes, and deferred consideration of updated job descriptions.
Deputy Clerk/Auditor Barbara Crowther reviewed a letter from WCF Mutual Insurance reporting a dividend check of $5,844.45 for the County’s portion of 5% of the 2024 earned Utah premium. The Commission also considered a request to surplus county personal property; Commissioner Ralph Brown moved to declare the item surplus and authorize disposal, Commissioner Greg Jensen seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
On minutes, the Commission approved the May 12 Commission meeting and May 12 and May 19 worksession minutes by unanimous vote. The April 28 worksession minutes were considered separately; Commissioner Scott Johnson moved to approve them, Commissioner Greg Jensen seconded, the motion passed, and Commissioner Ralph Brown abstained from that vote. Commissioner Johnson said updated job descriptions were not ready and asked that the item be placed on a later agenda. The meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m.
