Sevier County Commissioners on May 27 approved a contract with KB Construction to construct a liquid waste pad at the county landfill, but the approval was conditional on review by the County Attorney.
County Attorney Casey Jewkes informed the Commission that he had not yet reviewed the contract; commissioners discussed whether the contract required time-sensitive action. Commissioner Ralph Brown moved to approve the contract for a liquid waste pad subject to County Attorney review; Commissioner Greg Jensen seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous.
The minutes record the conditional nature of the approval: the contract will not proceed to final execution until the County Attorney completes his review. The minutes do not include contract value, start date, scope of work details, or KB Construction’s contact information; staff and counsel will be responsible for ensuring statutory and procurement compliance before execution.
