Commissioners met with representatives of the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority (BFJRA) and approved two resolutions amending the authority's articles of incorporation.
On a motion by Commissioner Steven L. Wible, the board approved Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the BFJRA's number of board members. The board also approved Resolution 10 of 2025, which the minutes describe as authorizing the BFJRA to appoint police officers who would have the same property-related rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth. Both resolutions were recorded as approved "All in favor."
Commissioner Wible moved to appoint Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027; the motion carried. In separate business, Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve and execute an agreement to retain Keller Engineer, Inc. for fiscal year 2026; the commissioners noted they will formally appoint the firm at the Jan. 6, 2026 reorganizational meeting. Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve Planning Commission meeting dates for FY 2026 as presented by Justin Evans for advertisement; that motion also passed.
