Commissioner James Moate moved to approve a $35,068 payroll advance, but Commissioner Zucal declined to second the motion, saying the ambulance service is in transition and the board needed more information before committing funds. Because the motion lacked a second, the item was not voted on and the commissioners tabled the request pending additional financial details.
No formal appropriation was approved at the Aug. 8 meeting. The item remains on the county’s agenda for further review and the commissioners asked staff to return additional information before a new motion is considered.
