Clerk says ballots ready for state approval; recreation center cleanup cleared by insurance

Annette Campbell, chief clerk and secretary to the commissioners, told the board Sept. 12 that November ballots are ready to be sent to the Pennsylvania Department of State for approval and that the county plans to begin mailing mail-in ballots in the first week of October.
Campbell said county staff have been gathering information for a tax revenue anticipation note and preparing for next year's budgets. She also reported that the county's insurance claim for flood damage at the Recreation Center was approved and that ServePro cleanup will proceed; the Recreation Center downstairs will remain closed until the cleanup is finished.
The treasurer reported monthly expenses for August of $621,568.62.
No public comment was recorded during the meeting. The board took several motions approving contracts and policies after the clerk's report and adjourned at 10:37 a.m.
