Cameron County commissioners approve contracts, policies and agreements in unanimous votes

The Cameron County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Sept. 12 to approve a string of routine motions covering contracts, a service agreement, a resignation acceptance and county-level policy.
The board ratified a Gravel Bike Contract (motion by Commissioner Moate; second by Commissioner Zucal) and awarded a roof repair/ replacement contract for the Recreation Center to David M. Maines Associates, Inc. (motion by Commissioner Zucal; second by Commissioner Moate). Both motions passed with all commissioners voting in favor.
Commissioners approved a service agreement between Cameron County Children and Youth Services and Dickinson Center, Inc. to provide forensic mental health evaluations (motion by Commissioner Moate; second by Commissioner Zucal). The board also formally accepted the resignation of Emergency Management Director Martin Kim (motion by Commissioner Zucal; second by Commissioner Moate).
The board accepted estimated county distributions from the Pennsylvania Opioid Misuse and Addiction Abatement Trust (motion by Commissioner Moate; second by Commissioner Zucal) and acknowledged an Act 13 funding request from CCOYA to renovate the fairgrounds building, then tabled that request for quarterly review at the Oct. 10 meeting (motion to table by Commissioner Herzing; second by Commissioner Moate).
Using Act 13 CAP reserve funds, the commissioners approved an ACS quote to upgrade Courthouse Wi‑Fi (motion by Commissioner Moate; second by Commissioner Zucal). The board also adopted a Right to Know Law policy (motion by Commissioner Herzing; second by Commissioner Zucal).
All recorded motions were moved, seconded and recorded as “all in favor, so carried.” There was no recorded opposition or abstention on the motions taken at this meeting.
