The Scotland Board of Education unanimously approved the 2026–27 school calendar at its Feb. 3 meeting, voting on motion #4-25/26. The proposed calendar was designed to align with Parish Hill; the first student day is scheduled for Aug. 27, 2026.
Lisa LaBelle moved to adopt the calendar and Clark Stearns seconded; the motion carried without dissent. Board members indicated the alignment with Parish Hill was intended to ease coordination with the regional schedule.
The calendar approval will be reflected in future communications to families, and related policy and scheduling items will be revisited as part of the board's annual planning cycle.
