Board extends paving contracts, approves Perfect Game facility use and awards vending licenses at Rogers Park

At its Feb. 25 meeting the Danbury City Board of Awards approved several routine contract extensions and park-use items.
The board extended unit-price bid awards for road-related drain repairs for the 2026 paving season to Reliable Excavating and Earth Movers Inc., both of which agreed to hold their 2025 prices. The board also extended Reliable Excavating’s bid for paving-related ADA sidewalk ramps under the same renewal option; staff will coordinate contract language with counsel before final execution.
The recreation department’s facility-use agreement with Perfect Game Inc. was authorized for signature, allowing the organization to use Rogers Park fields for games and showcases from May 21 through July 21, 2026. The agreement lists per-game fees that vary by field type and surface: $150–$225 per game slot depending on field and turf.
The board also approved licensing high bidders for vending-truck operation at three designated Rogers Park locations for the April–October season: (location 1, softball fields) Antojitos La Mecha — $4,000; (location 2, spray playground) Keith’s Ice Cream Truck — $9,100; (location 3, volleyball courts) Gastronomia Patty Patty — $20,000. Those awards were made contingent on execution of standard license agreements.
All motions passed unanimously; staff were directed to finalize contract and license language with counsel and to confirm funding and administrative details before execution.
