PTSA report notes Scotland grant for substance-abuse trainings, NARCAN sessions and Spring Fling

At the Jan. 20 meeting Joy Becker reported for the group listed in materials as "PHACT/PTSA." Becker said the group last met Jan. 7, 2026, counts 32 members and received 28 Reflections program art entries. She told the board that Scotland received a grant to support substance-abuse related trainings and that two NARCAN training dates are approaching; she said more information will appear in the community newsletter "The Happenings."
Becker also announced a Spring Fling scheduled for May 2, 2026 and said the group is considering making the comedy night a biannual event.
Student representatives Allison Butts and Chloe Reid also spoke earlier in the meeting about a student mentoring program and senior prom planning. There were no public comments at either audience period.
