The Scotland Recreation Committee unanimously approved the minutes of its Oct. 14, 2025 meeting and moved on to event planning and scheduling during its Nov. 11 meeting at the Grange.
The approval came after a motion from Monica Lindsay and a second from Katie LeClair; the motion was recorded as unanimously approved with three members present. Blair Rollin was noted as the audience member in attendance.
Committee members discussed program plans for 2025 and early 2026. Monica Lindsay said she requested a November check for the group’s yoga offering and that she had reached out to the Elementary School about using the gym but had not yet received a response. The group reviewed the recent Clean Up Day, noting that kits and bulbs were handed out at town hall during early voting.
The committee set the annual tree lighting on the town Green for Nov. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. Members also agreed to keep the committee’s meeting schedule for 2026 on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The next committee meeting was set for Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Grange. The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
Details recorded in the minutes did not specify additional staff assignments or firm dates for the yoga program request; the Elementary School response was listed as pending.
