The Adair County Board of Supervisors voted on March 3 to set a public hearing on the FY27 proposed property tax levy for 9 a.m. on March 25, 2026.
Supervisor Hoadley moved to set the hearing and Supervisor Christoffersen seconded the motion. The board approved the motion; Wedemeyer was recorded as absent. Auditor Mandy Berg is responsible for publishing the required public notice and making the levy documents available in advance of the hearing.
The board’s action sets the next administrative step in the county’s budget calendar and gives taxpayers a scheduled opportunity to comment before any levy is adopted. The meeting minutes note the hearing date and instruct county staff to follow statutory notice requirements.
The board adjourned at 9:22 a.m.
