The Borough Council of Caldwell approved a multi-item consent agenda on Feb. 3 that passed on a unanimous 7-0 roll-call vote.
The consent agenda included: a raffle license for First Presbyterian Church (on-premise 50/50 cash raffle); authorization to award a contract for the clarifier retrofit project to Spectraserv, 75 Jacobus Avenue, Kearny, N.J., in an amount not to exceed $789,400; a referral of the borough’s Environmental Resource Inventory to the Planning Board for review and adoption; an addendum to a shared-services contract to add inspections of certain establishments effective Jan. 1, 2026; an amendment increasing a construction manager/owner’s representative contract with Signature Building & Development Group, LLC by up to $12,000 for the 80 Bloomfield Avenue project; authorization for the police director to advertise for the position of captain in the Caldwell Police Department; and authorization of bill payments totaling $2,392,905.02 for the Jan. 17–30, 2026 period.
Councilman Daniolowicz moved to approve the consent agenda; Councilwoman Rodeffer seconded. The clerk recorded an affirmative roll-call from all present members. The resolutions were adopted without separate discussion unless otherwise requested by council members.
