Council discussed aesthetics, vandalism, and whether a two-tone option (green top/tan body) or different sizes would be preferable. One council member voted against the motion, saying trash cans were not a high priority for taxpayer money. The motion to approve the tan body with a green top 95‑gallon bin passed 4–1.
