Brooksville staff says ARPA projects nearly complete; $4.2M award to be fully spent by year-end

Danielle Hendry, the city’s ARPA project manager, gave a progress update showing that Brooksville received about $4.2 million in ARPA funds; staff have allocated and (to Hendry’s account) completed projects covering parks, water and sewer, streets and drainage, finance, and fire department needs. The presentation listed specific projects—park restroom and court resurfacing, water-plant pump replacements, lift station bypass pumps, drainage relocation, equipment purchases and administration costs—and identified the administration line as the last item requiring final reporting work.
Hendry said the city met the December 31, 2025 allocation deadline and aims to have all expenditures completed by December 31, 2026, with the final Treasury compliance report due in April 2027. She said the city is maintaining annual Treasury reporting through 2027 and that staff have prepared project packets for the city to retain as records and for closeout review.
Council members asked whether Hendry will return for future updates; Hendry offered to attend quarterly through 2026 and to come back when staff need final sign‑off. Council requested that staff continue coordinating final documentation and that any outstanding admin-level reporting be provided in advance of the final closeout presentation.
