Commission keeps current chair and committee roles; Lyme Township to form its own planning commission
Summary

A motion to maintain the current officer roles was moved and seconded and carried on a roll call vote. The same roll call procedure confirmed that the commission’s representative to the Heritage Preservation Commission will remain unchanged.
A committee member updated the commission on a change to the city’s intergovernmental agreement with Lyme Township, saying that at the township’s first council meeting of the year the parties amended and extended their agreement. The change means Lyme Township will create its own planning commission; going forward, township planning items will proceed through the township rather than first appearing before the City of Mankato’s planning commission. City staff will continue to provide staffing support to the township.
