The Coweta City Council voted unanimously Dec. 1 to appoint Daniel Beatie to the Ward 4 council seat vacancy. The council interviewed three applicants who were present โ Xiomara Gray, Daniel Beatie and Ashley Lowery-Radebaugh โ and noted that applicant Christopher Thomas was not in attendance.
The motion to appoint Beatie was made by Councilmember Jeremy Barnett and seconded by Mayor Naomi Hogue; the recorded vote listed Naomi Hogue, Jeremy Barnett, Joshua Wilburn and Donald Vieth as aye. The minutes do not record individual statements from applicants beyond their interviews or specify a swearing-in date; the City Clerk will process paperwork to formalize the appointment.
The selection fills the vacancy for Ward 4; council records show the appointment was effective Dec. 1, 2025. The council did not take further action on other new-business items and adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
