The Dixon County Board of Supervisors voted March 10 to award the Maskell North bridge reconstruction contract (Project #C-26(294), Structure #C002600210P) to Theisen Construction Inc., the low bidder at $784,713.95.
Dan Alexander of Midwest Engineering opened four bids at the county meeting: Theisen Construction $784,713.95; Dixon Construction $963,279.30; High Plains Structural Group $1,127,008.50; and JNM Construction $1,181,442.25. Supervisor Deric Anderson moved to accept Theisen’s bid and proceed; Supervisor Terry Nicholson seconded the motion, and the board approved it unanimously.
The board’s action directs county staff and the engineering firm to move forward with contracting and project scheduling under the accepted bid. No amendments or bidder protests were recorded in the meeting minutes. The county engineer was present to discuss related road and bridge project timelines and warranty periods.
The project number and structure identification will be used in contracting and state reporting; the approved bid amount will be incorporated into the county’s bridge project records and follow-up tasks for construction oversight.
