FULTON COUNTY — At their March 3 meeting in McConnellsburg, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved up to $35,000 from the Krivak Trust for an applicant, accepted the retirement of Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress and hired Laurel Griest as an Office Deputy I for the Prothonotary’s Office.
The board voted to authorize a Krivak Trust application “up to a maximum of $35,000.00,” according to Human Services Director Julie Dovey, who presented the request. Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve the request; the motion carried with all commissioners voting in favor. The applicant’s information was recorded as confidential in the minutes because of HIPAA protections.
Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to accept a letter of retirement from Domestic Relations Director Tina Gress, who has worked for Fulton County for 25 years and serves on the Fulton County Medical Center board. The board set her retirement effective July 11, 2026; the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the board approved the hiring of Laurel Griest as Office Deputy I in the Prothonotary’s Office, effective March 4, 2026. HR Administrator Mary Huston presented the recommendation and a brief Salary Board set the new hire’s salary; the appointment was moved by Commissioner Bunch and approved unanimously.

Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved the accounts-payable approval; Commissioner Hann also moved the payroll approval; both motions carried with all present voting in favor.

The board met with the county coroner and his insurance representative to discuss insurance for on-call duties and with county auditors for an audit review; no formal action or funding changes were recorded in those presentations. Commissioners also heard an update on Phase II renovations for the newly purchased building on Lincoln Way West from Building and Maintenance Director Brad Seville; no appropriation or schedule was recorded in the minutes.
Commissioners met with resident Craig Strait on a continuing Clean and Green matter; the board said they would review the issue further with the County Solicitor. Chief Probation Officer Dan Miller’s travel request to attend the Annual CJAB Conference on April 20–22, 2026 was approved.
