Fulton County commissioners approve $234,913 in bills, hire caseworker and greenlight senior center engineering work

Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 27 approved routine county business that included $234,913.72 in accounts payable, the hiring of a new caseworker for the Services for Children department and acceptance of an engineering quote for renovations at the Warfordsburg Senior Center.
Chief Clerk Stacey M. Shives recorded that Commissioner Randy H. Bunch moved to approve the Jan. 20 minutes and Commissioner Hervey P. Hann moved to approve accounts payable dated Jan. 27 totaling $234,913.72 across several funds, including $145,851.38 from the General Fund and $30,555.07 from the 911 fund; the board recorded the motions as passing 'all in favor.'
Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to hire Amanda Sheffield for the Services for Children Department as a Caseworker II, pending required clearances and completion of paperwork; commissioners approved the hire unanimously as recorded. Separate Salary Board minutes for the hire will be filed.
On capital and contract items, the board approved delegation of signing authority for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Contract Number C000095314 for $218,719.00 to HR Administrator Mary Huston, Commissioner Wible and Commissioner Bunch. Administrative approvals included executing an invoice from Elect IT Solutions for IT staffing and support for February 2026, retroactive approval for Commissioner Bunch to execute the ERAP 2 County Expenditure Certification Form for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, and approval of an Election Integrity Grant Program Post-Election Report showing total expenditures of $84,443.55. The board also approved an invoice from Insurance Agent Robert Snyder for the Fulton County Tax Collectors Blanket Bond through Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America for $3,313.00 covering Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2029.
Commissioner Bunch moved to renew Companion Life Insurance for Group Term Life at $0.019 per $1,000 of benefit and Group AD&D at $0.03 per $1,000 of benefit, effective April 1, 2026; commissioners approved the renewal with the same rates as 2025.
