Fulton County approves BFJRA governance changes and appoints Craig Cutchall

The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 30 approved two amendments to the Bedford Fulton Joint Recreation Authority's (BFJRA) articles of incorporation and appointed a new authority member.
Representatives Matthew Wakefield, Paul Johnston and Eric Weisbrod of BFJRA presented proposed amendments. Commissioner Steven L. Wible moved to approve and execute Resolution 9 of 2025 to increase the number of BFJRA board members; the motion passed unanimously. Commissioner Wible also moved to approve Resolution 10 of 2025 to amend BFJRA's articles to authorize the authority to appoint police officers who would have the same rights as other police officers in the Commonwealth with respect to Authority property; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board appointed Craig Cutchall to a one-year term on the BFJRA, with the term expiring Jan. 3, 2027. The actions complete the authority's requested governance changes and the county's appointment process for the authority seat.
