Board approves acceptance of two no-cost radar speed feedback signs from UConn program

Chip Volpe said the police department submitted the agreement, which would provide the city with two radar speed signs at no cost. Volpe placed the agreement on the agenda to allow the board to approve execution of the contract.
A motion to accept the speed feedback signs agreement was moved and seconded; board members voted in favor and the motion carried unanimously. The board’s approval authorizes the city to accept and execute the agreement with the Connecticut Transportation Institute so the police department can proceed with program placement and use of the devices.
