The Board of Awards voted to exercise a one-year renewal option for the city’s motor-vehicle registration compliance contract with Capital Tax Recovery.
Chip Volpe said the one-year contract had been awarded previously and that the current term expires Nov. 14, 2025. Under the contract as executed, Capital Tax Recovery receives 40% of taxes and interest collected by the city for any taxes billed; the vendor told staff it would hold the same fee schedule for the extension.
Tax Assessor Donna Murphy moved to exercise the option (RFP O7222302) to extend the term through Nov. 14, 2026. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
The board did not record a detailed roll-call tally in the transcript; the meeting record shows the motion as carrying unanimously. No changes to the contract fee structure were recorded; staff noted the vendor agreed to the same compensation rate for the renewal period.
