Calhoun County ISD board approves personnel actions and adopts TASB superintendent evaluation format

Following a closed session, the Calhoun County ISD Board of Trustees reconvened at 8:08 p.m. on Feb. 23 and approved a slate of personnel and evaluation actions.
On a motion by Bill Shrader, seconded by Vinson Phillips, the board accepted the administration’s recommendations regarding instructional personnel and related employment actions; the motion carried 7–0. The board then approved contract renewals for CCISD directors, principals and assistant principals on a motion by Dana Dworaczyk, seconded by Dominic Robles; that motion also passed 7–0.
The board adopted the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) format for the superintendent evaluation, with adjustments to add the superintendent’s performance goals after collaboration between the board and the superintendent. The motion to adopt the TASB format was made by Dana Dworaczyk and seconded by Bill Shrader and passed 7–0. The minutes note that no action was necessary on the intruder detection audit report that was discussed in closed session.
The closed session was convened under Texas Government Code sections 551.074 (personnel) and 551.076 (security and deployment of security devices).
