Judge flags incorrect sheriff salary in SB 22 filing; sheriff reports jail roster and asset forfeiture approved

During the March 10 meeting Judge Isabel Carrasco told the court that the SB 22 compliance report filed with the state Comptroller showed an incorrect salary for the sheriff. The judge said the error resulted from incorrect monthly payroll reports for the sheriff and said he wants payroll reports corrected before he signs future filings.
Sheriff Eric Geske reported the jail roster: 22 inmates in the Parmer County Jail, including 11 from Lamb County, 2 from Floyd County and 9 Parmer County inmates. The sheriff also presented the 2025 Asset Forfeiture Report; Commissioner Kenny White moved to approve the report, Commissioner Charles Wilkins seconded, and the court approved it by majority vote.
