“We did a couple other tests with some other systems...this was really the system that it came down to,” the presenter said, explaining police recommendations and prior local installations informed the procurement approach.
Committee members had no further questions and approved the expenditure by voice vote; the presenter and chair recorded the action as passing 4 to 0.
Staff said procurement would proceed under the purchasing manager’s approval and that final contract terms and implementation timelines would be reported to the committee as the work advances.
