Fort Stockton ISD board approves resolution to join Region 20 purchasing cooperative; consent agenda passes

FORT STOCKTON — The Fort Stockton Independent School District Board of Education on Oct. 27 approved a resolution to participate in the Region 20 Purchasing Cooperative and unanimously passed a separate motion to adopt the cooperative resolution.
At the same meeting the board approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes of the Sept. 24, 2025 regular meeting, the September check register, donations to the district and several budget amendments. The consent-agenda motion was made by Anastacio Dominguez and seconded by Freddie Martinez; Trustee Jennifer Gonzales abstained.
Board President Flo Garcia opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m.; Secretary Ursula Sanchez established that a quorum was present. The board’s action on the Region 20 Purchasing Cooperative was moved by Kay Griffith and seconded by Vice President Anastacio Dominguez and was recorded as carried unanimously.
The meeting agenda also listed an agreement with YCM Solutions, Inc.; no action was taken on that item. The board scheduled a special meeting for Nov. 10, 2025 and set its next regular meeting for Nov. 19, 2025.
