Giddings ISD board approves consent agenda, accepts donations and reviews 2025–26 budget

The board voted to approve the consent agenda in a motion by Trustee Heather Garner, seconded by Trustee Spencer Schneider. The vote was recorded as six in favor, none opposed, with one trustee absent.
Mr. RoBuck, the district's financial advisor, briefed trustees on the district's current financial position and budget assumptions included in the board packet. The budget materials and advisor summary were included with the consent packet and accepted for the district's record.
The consent agenda also included acceptance of campus-level donations submitted in writing to the district. Documentation attached to the agenda shows small, program-level contributions (for example, PTO classroom book e-cards and local business contributions for school events). Trustees accepted those donations as part of the consent motion.
The board did not take separate votes on individual consent items. No additional financial commitments were authorized during the consent vote; further budget amendments or appropriations would require formal board action.
The meeting proceeded to scheduled business after the consent vote.
