Llano ISD board approves one-time payments of $2,000 (full-time) and $1,000 (part-time) for eligible employees

The Llano Independent School District Board of Trustees on Oct. 27, 2025, approved a resolution authorizing a one-time wage payment for eligible district employees, with full-time staff to receive $2,000 and part-time staff $1,000.
Superintendent Mac Edwards presented a public hearing on the proposal before trustees voted on the resolution. Trustee Paul Hull moved to approve the resolution; Trustee Grant Morgan seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 7-0.
The board’s resolution cites Texas Education Code §§ 11.151, 11.1513(c) and 45.105 and directs the Superintendent to implement the payments. Schedule A attached to the resolution sets eligibility rules: employees must have been employed as of May 1, 2025, remain employed as of Nov. 1, 2025, be in good standing and not have submitted resignation as of Nov. 1. Payments are to be distributed by Nov. 15, 2025, or as soon thereafter as practicable. The schedule specifies the payments are not TRS-eligible and defines full-time as working 7.5 hours or more per workday; part-time is defined as fewer than 7.5 hours.
The resolution states the payments are intended to recognize and retain staff and to promote morale. It also authorizes the Superintendent to cause the payments to be made according to the attached schedule. No fiscal totals beyond the per-employee amounts were provided in the minutes.
The board took the action during the portion of the meeting that followed administrative reports and consent business. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Nov. 17, 2025, when trustees may revisit related implementation details if necessary.
