At the Jan. 28 meeting the board highlighted student achievements in FFA and 4‑H and recognized a local nonprofit for its contributions to district children in need.
FFA sponsor Jenna Pool introduced student speakers including Quinn Pool, identified in the minutes as a State Champion in Greenhand Creed Speaking, and Chris Pizano, listed as a State Semifinalist in Spanish Creed Speaking. 4‑H sponsor Joe Dan Tarter introduced the Llano 4‑H Meat Judging team, which the minutes list as National Reserve Champion; team members noted in the record include Sydney Kuykendall, Katie Turner, Koda Wagner and Taylor Tibbs.
Superintendent Mac Edwards presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Cowboy Christmas for Kids and said the organization has donated $190,000 to Llano ISD children in need since 2021.
The board also approved a list of books that had been posted on the district website for at least 30 days; the approval was recorded as a unanimous 7–0 vote.
