The Borough of North Haledon introduced Ordinance #7-2025 at its May 21 meeting to amend Bond Ordinance Number 2025-05 (adopted April 16, 2025) by changing Section 3(e) to specify the purchase of a fire command vehicle for the Fire Department.
The amendment as read by title sets the description and financing for the item: a $100,000 total appropriation, $95,000 debt authorization, $5,000 down payment and a useful life of 10 years. Council Member George Pomianek moved to read the ordinance by title and to waive a full reading; Council Member Donna Puglisi seconded the motion. Upon roll call, all members present voted in the affirmative and the ordinance passed first reading.
Final consideration and possible adoption of Ordinance #7-2025 is scheduled for June 18, 2025 at 7:30 p.m., at which time the public will have an opportunity to be heard. If adopted following the required publication period, the ordinance will take effect 20 days after first publication, consistent with the Local Bond Law.
