North Haledon council adopts ordinance restricting parking at UNICO building

On March 19 the Borough Council adopted Ordinance #3-2025 on its second and final reading to amend Chapter 169 (Vehicles and Traffic) by adding a provision restricting parking at the North Haledon Unico Building, located at 43 Linda Vista Avenue.
The new §169-24.2 states that no person may park in spaces at the Unico building without express written authorization issued by the mayor and council or their designee. The ordinance also retains violations and penalties in a renumbered section and specifies that each day a violation occurs constitutes a separate offense.
Council Member Donna Puglisi moved and Council Member George Pomianek seconded waiving full reading; Council Member Puglisi moved and Council Member Roscio seconded to adopt the ordinance on second reading. No members of the public spoke on the ordinance. The clerk will publish the adoption notice in accordance with law.
